Movie Specs: ET was released in 1982, and re-released several years later. It was the highest grossing movie in the US until 1997 when it was knocked down to #2, then #3, by Star Wars (re-release) and Titanic. Henry's Role: Elliott. Elliott is a lonely 10-year-old boy who discovers an alien in his backyard shed. He becomes friends with the alien and somehow gets telepathically connected. Henry will probably always be best known for this role. Moby Dick co-star Patrick Stewart says "Thomas will always be Elliott to some people. That will go with him to his grave. No matter how old and wise and grown-up he gets, that will be there." (People magazine, May 4, 1998, page 80) Though I must wonder if Mr. Stewart was referring to himself as Captain Picard ;-) Links: |
